Covid virus -What happens if my chosen date has to be changed.
Many of you who have made plans for a Wedding, this being the most exciting time of your lives are without doubt still concerned that a date change by the venue could take place.
Any future date change to your Wedding or other type of function will be accommodated even moving to a later year. Trevor will do his upmost to provide service personally on your new date. However in the event of circumstances preventing him from doing so, you have the assurance of knowing the Guild of Professional Toastmasters will be able to supply one of it's Fellows to ensure your Day is managed perfectly.
Where can we meet to discuss our requirements
Traditionally a Toastmaster will attend a number of Wedding exhibitions and Fayres throughout the year. Trevor has always supported Wedding Fayres in those venues with whom he has worked closely with over a number of years.
As there is a huge variety of Wedding Professionals to speak with at such occasions, a personal meeting will be the best solution.
This can be arranged via an internet Zoom call without any obligation to discuss exactly how you would like your special day to unfold.
We like the idea of having our day managed but don't like formality
The emphasis on the way in which Trevor manages your day is totally your choice. A Toastmaster knows how to handle the protocol required but will only ever provide a service as specified by you. Important factor's of Wedding celebrations today are Happiness, Laughter and Fun, often with or without formality, the choice is yours. You can gain a sense of the way in which Trevor can provide a service to your exact needs by checking out the photo gallery contained on this website.
How long can we expect to have your services
You can rely on Trevor, your Toastmaster for as long as you wish him to attend you on this important day.
Normal practice will see the Toastmaster arriving up to two hours before your Ceremony is due to take place. This specifically applies to ceremonies taking place at the same venue as your planned Wedding Breakfast and evening party. The Toastmaster can attend church if required but this generally is not necessary and would be subject toa separate charge.
How the day unfolds and what you will expect from the Toastmaster will be covered in our planning meeting held well in advance of your Marriage. The service provided can include announcement of the First Dance, this normally takes place around 8pm, therefore where a ceremony having taken place at 2pm it will mean the Toastmasters' average time with you and your guests will be around eight hours.
How do I make payment
The terms for supplying Toastmaster Services remain the same even if your circumstances change.
Once you have decided Trevor is the Toastmaster you wish to reserve for your event, a non refundable booking fee of 50% of the total cost will guarantee the date. The balance is payable thirty days before your event.
A family member is concerned about making a speech at my Wedding
This question is raised more often then you might imagine. Often the thought of having to speak publicly is far worse than the deed on the day. Trevor can assist in a number of ways. Perhaps as an example, guidance about content.
Experience over the years has proved that following a good banquet with plentiful wine the task of making speeches, for instance, by The Father of the Bride, The Bridegroom and The Best Man becomes far less daunting.
What geographical area's do you cover as a Toastmaster
To keep my fee's competitive, as a general rule I will work within a seventy mile radius of my home in Ashford. This will cover the counties of Kent, East Sussex, Surrey, South East Essex and most of the outer London Borough's.
I have the recommendation of a number of venue's, as an example;
Lympne Castle, near Folkestone
Ashford International Hotel, Ashford
Burlington Hotel, Folkestone
Howfield Manor Chartham Canterbury
If you would like to reserve my services outside of this geographical area's I will be more than pleased to provide a bespoke
quotation.
We have already booked a venue, can we engage you separately
Yes - although Trevor has arrangements with hotels and venue's being their preferred Toastmaster, it does not preclude him from working directly with you or the event organiser, in any venue of your choice. Trevor has a standard fee structure which will cover travelling a round trip of 140 miles. Beyond this mileage there will be a surcharge based on additional mileage only.
What will your Services Cost
The fee structure really does depend on many factors. How long will the Toastmaster be with you on the day. How much pre-planning will be required. The simplest way for Trevor to provide a costing is to gain some preliminary answers from you. This can be achieved quickly and easily by a telephone discussion or a ZOOM MEETING. You will not be in any way obligated to engage Trevor, and you can use the opportunity to ask as many questions as necessary.
